Zelcraft Silicone Liquid

Zelcraft Silicone Liquid is a specialized oil-like additive designed for acrylic pouring and fluid art techniques.

Key Characteristics & Purpose

• Cell Formation: It acts as a cell former. Because silicone is oil-based and does not mix with water or acrylic paint, it rises to the surface during a pour to push the top layer of paint aside. This creates characteristic circular "cells" and open patterns that reveal underlying paint layers.

• Color Integrity: It is clear and does not alter the hue, saturation, or opacity of your acrylic colors.

• Compatibility: It is formulated to be used alongside pouring mediums such as Zelcraft Pouring Medium, Floetrol, Liquitex, or Atlas Easi Pour.

Usage & Application

• Mixing Ratio: Typically added at a very low volume, such as a drop or a few drops per ounce of paint mixture, or roughly 2 to 3 teaspoons per 200ml of paint depending on the desired cell density.

• Heat Activation: Artists often pass a light blow torch or heat gun briefly over the wet pour to help the silicone bubbles rise and pop, encouraging larger and sharper cell development.
