Resin Molds are flexible containers—most often made of silicone—used to shape liquid epoxy resin as it cures into solid crafts, jewellery, or decorative pieces. They provide a non-stick surface, capture fine details, and allow easy removal of the finished piece once hardened.

Types and Uses of Resin Molds

  • Silicone Molds: The industry standard for flexibility, durability, and glossy finish transfers.
  • Jewellery Molds: Small-scale multi-cavity forms used for earrings, pendants, and rings.
  • Coaster & Tray Molds: Larger, flat geometric or irregular shapes for functional home decor.
  • Custom DIY Molds: Made using liquid silicone kits or putty poured over master objects.

How to Use Resin Molds

  • Prep Workspace: Cover your flat surface and put on protective gloves.
  • Mix Resin: Combine two-part epoxy resin strictly by the manufacturer's recommended ratio.
  • Add Embellishments: Stir in mica powders, alcohol inks, glitter, or dried botanicals.
  • Pour and De-bubble: Pour slowly in a thin stream and use a heat gun to eliminate surface bubbles.

Cure and Demold: Leave undisturbed for 24 to 48 hours, then gently peel the mold away.
